about

This sample pack is not meant to be used in the traditional sense of file dragging and dropping, these samples are not snippets of certain sounds, synths or genres. Rather, the sounds are more like phrases or passages filled with waves of modulation, throbbing resonances and crashing frequencies that create beds of tones and harsh noises. You can chop them up, grab pieces that inspire you or use them as background layers in your compositions.

The sounds are analog. A single oscillator through filters with high resonance, modulated in complex ways to create layers of sound. With the addition of several old analog delay units, the result is a cacophony, and occasionally an illusion of polyphony or harmony from different voices.

- 48kHz 32bit, except for three files that were accidentally set at 44.1kHz
- Fully analog sources, filters, modulators and delays; the use of reverb was avoided as much as possible.
- 100% royalty free samples

Caution: Some files are pretty harsh in the mid frequencies with occasional spikes in the highs. Take care of your hearing.

It's fascinating how twisted sounds can be reminiscent of bad hallucinations, bizarre memories and dreams.
